Well, 2017 didn’t work out the way I had wanted it to. We got off to a positive start, but as we all know, life tends to get in the way of those things we want to do as opposed to those that we have to do. From unexpected changes, to injuries, to over committing myself to work, I didn’t get to visit as many of the breweries as I wanted to last year. Fortunately, this year means that I get to start over and try again. Even better, my wonderful wife has decided to help me out in that endeavor.
As it stands right now, I have a goal of 2 brewery visits a month. Today, I stopped by my favorite place along the path to my daughter’s new college and picked up a growler to enjoy while I do my home brewing tomorrow. In a couple of weeks, I’ll be visiting a newer brewery in Skagit County that I have heard and read many positive things about. So, look for an update regarding that visit in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, I’m working on a schedule that I can update the blog at least once a week, likely on Sunday or Monday evening, with plans to post on Tuesday morning after I know I feel good about what I’m writing. The only reason I can’t promise a specific day at the moment is that it looks like a lot of my brewery visits will be on Sundays, with the occasional weekday or Saturday thrown in for good measure. We’ll see how it goes, and with any luck this ride will finally get off the ground.
