Last week we got to stop by a previously unknown taproom in Tacoma called Peaks and Pints. They were having a 6 brewer fest type thing, and well, I had to try out some different beers. Fortunately, even with about an hour notice, the wife was happy to take me up there.
You could tell that this place was quite the popular one, as there was barely a seat in the house. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze in at the end of the bar and were able to talk with some of the others that were there. We met representatives from Hop Valley, Firestone Walker, and Two Beers, as well as one of the distributors of the tasty beers that were on tap.
I tried 2 or 3 of their selections that were on hand for the night, as well as tried one of their delicious sandwiches. They have a turkey bbq bleu sandwich there that I will definitely be ordering again. To top if off, we started with their spicy deviled eggs, which is how I will be making all my deviled eggs from now on. The smoked paprika gave it that spicy, yet smoky bite, but it was the jalapeno on top that set things off.
To top off the night, we got in on the raffles they were holding and ended up winning some pretty sweet swag. Hopefully we’ll be getting ready to start giving some of it away in the near future as we continue building the site and finding more followers.
If you get a chance, swing by Peaks and Pints. You can check out some of the great brews on tap and then look at what they have in their bottle shop area.
